This series of workshops has been designed for intermediate level photographers with an interest in architecture, cityscapes and building interiors. It is assumed that students will have a general familiarity with their cameras and the workshop is designed to get everyone photographing and to learn by experience. Numbers are limited to allow close personal attention (minimum number of students 3 - maximum 6)

Where
Workshops are held in and around key buildings in the City of London including the Lloyds Building and Gherkin, along the Thames waterfront to St Paul's and London Bridge. Interior shooting has been pre-arranged in the historic setting of Southwark Cathedral. There will be stops for refreshments along the way. Groups assemble in the splendour of Leadenhall Market (nearest tube Bank) and the day will end near to London Bridge.

When
LA1 workshops are held on Sundays for a 6 hour period spanning sunset, for example 2pm to 8pm in autumn, to allow for a combination of daytime, interior and evening shots. Workshops could also be held on other days subject to demand. Please contact us if you are interested in other days.

FREE DVD and follow-up advice
Each student will receive an information pack on the day's activities plus a free DVD (usual price £29.99) and follow-up assistance by e-mail for up to 1 week. The DVD includes how to make the most out of your RAW file, correcting converging verticals in buildings and adding drama to your architectural shots (designed for Photoshop CS4). Each area to photograph will relate to post production exercises on the DVD. Students will also be able to upload their images to a password-protected web gallery so all students can share their images from the day once they have completed their post-production. Andy also offers one week's email assistance after the course for any questions that arise. Students will come away from the day and exercises on the DVD with a firm understanding of how to create better architectural images, create panoramas, remove unwanted elements in the image and many other quick and easy tips.

Equipment
Students are expected to bring their own camera, lenses and preferably a tripod. It may be possible to arrange sharing of tripods.

NOTE
Students are responsible for their own travel to and from the course. There will be a certain amount of walking between locations so a reasonable level of mobility will be required. The class will go ahead on cloudy days but extreme adverse weather may result in a workshop being postponed.
